Marion General Hospital Heart Services offers comprehensive heart care close to home for thousands of patients in Marion County and surrounding communities. From initial diagnosis to cardiac care and rehabilitation, we offer nearly every service heart patients need to return to good health.
The ability to provide open-heart surgery and angioplasty services, especially emergent angioplasty services, means precious time—life-saving time—is saved for our patients because they don't need to be transported elsewhere for treatment. Marion General Hospital is also designated an Accredited Chest Pain Center by The Society of Chest Pain Centers, only the 328th medical facility in the country to earn this elite accreditation.
The number of angioplasties and open-heart surgeries performed at Marion General continues to grow. Annually, our cardiologists and staff perform more than 2,500 procedures in our cardiac cath facility.
