Marion General Hospital Hospice combines compassionate, personalized care with a cooperative relationship that recognizes the importance of dying with dignity. Any terminally ill person, regardless of age, is eligible for hospice care. Grief ! Recovery® Outreach Program
Grief support is provided through Marion General’s Grief ! Recovery® Outreach Program, which takes place three times a year: in January, May and September. The outreach program is a 12-week class for two hours on Tuesdays, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Registration is required. This is a free program and is open to the public. Healing Hearts Outreach Program
Healing Hearts is a children’s grief workshop that provides children a secure environment in which to work through their grief process. The passing of a loved one can be a very difficult time for everyone involved. Each person works through grief in his or her unique way, and this is no different for children. Marion General Hospital’s workshop allows children to work through their grief with their own peers.
Healing Hearts workshop meets one night a week for six weeks, four times a year. This is a free program and is open to the public. For additional information, call 740-383-8930.
