Welcome to an online tour of our services at the Center for New Beginnings located on Marion General Hospital's third floor.

Your pregnancy and the birth of your baby are like no other times in your life. More than likely, you're excited, anxious and nervous all at the same time. The health of your baby (or babies) is your top concern. Rest assured the Center for New Beginnings is regionally known for its reputation in providing excellent care. Each year we welcome more than 1,000 babies into the world.

The Center for New Beginnings features beautiful wallpaper and oak furniture including charming Boston rockers as well as sleeping accommodations for the father or support person. The birthing suite allows mothers to labor, deliver and recover all in the same homelike atmosphere. Although the Center for New Beginnings resembles a lovely hotel, it includes the latest technology, complete with centralized fetal monitoring and a surgical suite that allows caesarian sections to be performed right in the labor and delivery area.

The increased level of newborn care in the Center's Level II nursery represents the comfort of the latest technology coupled with the peace of mind in being close to home. It is specifically designed for women who experience the anxiety of a pregnancy termed "higher risk" due to gestational diabetes, or the birth of twins or a premature infant. Our Level II professionals include board certified neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners and staff who are specially trained in treatment programs for select high-risk mothers and fragile newborns.
